Autoresponders Resources
Autoresponders allow you to send predefined email responses
(in some cases a series of responses over a period of time),
automatically, in response to your visitors' requests for information
(Autoresponder Definition).
Autoresponders can be implemented on your own site (recommended) using an ASP,
CGI or PHP script - or can be implemented through somebody else's server
("Remotely Hosted").
Additionally there are some PC-based solutions
which are intended to run on your own desktop PC.
The main reasons to choose one or the other are:
- Most Remotely Hosted services charge you a monthly fees (or add their
adverts in the case of free services), whereas if you
implement an autoresponder on your own server (or PC), you usually pay once for the script
and can then use it forever at no additional cost, and with no unwanted adverts
added.
- Remotely hosted services such as
Aweber are easy to
use and setup.
On the other hand, installing a script can be quite difficult, especially
if you are not a technical wizard.
The Autoresponders that we have listed are divided into categories based on how
they are implemented. If you use an ASP, CGI or PHP Autoresponder, you will of
course need a web host
that supports the facilities needed to install the particular script that you
choose.
Please select from the following categories of Autoresponders:
