Tell A Friend
Tell A FriendTell A Friend forms, are forms that users fill out on your web site, to tell their friends about your site. When a person fills out the form, each of their friends is sent your URL together with a message inviting them to visit.
Most people won't fill out these kinds of forms unless they have some reason to do so - either there is something that they know their friends will like - or they are being offered some kind of incentive to tell their friends. See our article "Marketing with Tell A Friend" for a few ideas along these lines.
To implement a Tell A Friend feature, you will need some kind of Tell A Friend Script to process the forms.
Tell A Friend can be implemented on your own site (recommended) using an ASP, CGI or PHP script) - or can be implemented through somebody else's server ("Remotely Hosted").
We think it is generally better to use your own site for Tell A Friend, because, most Remotely Hosted services place their adverts (instead of yours) either in the messages, or during the browser display during form processing.
The Tell A Friend scripts that we have listed are divided into categories based on how they are implemented. If you use an ASP, CGI or PHP script, you will of course need a web host that supports the facilities needed to install the particular script that you choose.
Please select from the following categories of Tell A Friend scripts:
